What is AWS?
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a provider of on-demand cloud computing platforms that gives you access to over 90 services. These include services like storage, servers, higher-level application components, and databases. AWS also gives you access to cloud computing and programmable resources, which means that you have access to exactly the amount of resources you need at any given time.
When operating from a single system, there is an inherent risk when you attempt to project how much capacity you will need at a hypothetical peak of activity. If you project too low, your business could suffer because of underperformance. On the other hand, you may find that you have projected too high. In this case, you'll be wasting money on resources that you're not using. AWS eliminates the guesswork by operating through a cloud-based system. You can demand as much or as little of a resource you need, such as servers and storage, and have access to it within seconds.
Unlimited resources on a global scale
You have access to a global infrastructure by working through the AWS system. Whether you need to meet certain compliance requirements or are looking to operate closer to your end users, you can work out of the AWS Region that best meets your needs. You can even operate out of multiple data centers as needed. Doing so also gives you an early foundation for the possible future expansion of your IT architecture.
First-rate managed services
Working through AWS gives you access to its full range of services, and it also reduces maintenance on your end. AWS manages its own services, which means that your operating costs are reduced. It also means that your operation is simplified because the time, effort, and resources needed to maintain your operational efficiency are no longer elements you need to directly control.
On-demand disposable resources
One of the most common and expensive problems fixed servers encounter is configuration drift. In this case, updates and patches are applied untested and can result in operational issues. The alternative to this, immutable infrastructure, eliminates this problem by simply never updating, which can result in an obsolete server. In both cases, you are inevitably going to encounter a problem with a long-running server, and the only solution will be to replace it. AWS's cloud-based system eliminates this problem by providing disposable resources: Make use of any resource you need through the cloud only for as long as you need it.
Built-in security system
As a subsidiary of Amazon.com, AWS is held to the highest industry standards for security and performance. Standard infrastructure security monitoring is commonly periodic, which means your IT will go for periods without being checked. This process is also frequently manual, which is time-consuming. AWS addresses both of these by implementing perpetual monitoring. Security testing can be implemented as a standard process of your operations, which means that it will automatically kick in whenever there is any change to ensure constant and reliable protection.
What We Offer
While the number of options included in AWS is impressive, it can be a challenge to determine how you should use the resources available. This is where we can help. As experts in AWS, we can work with you to create a plan that maximizes the system's tools to best meet your needs.
Scalable infrastructure in the AWS cloud
You expect your business to grow, and you need a system that can grow with it. For this reason, AWS offers a number of scalability options and features:
Vertical scaling
- Horizontal scaling
- Stateless applications
- Stateless components
- Stateful components
- Distributed processing
By using these tools, we can construct a system that best meets your needs and expectations for performance, cost, and growth. We will work with you to determine how best to implement these tools to build the ideal scalable architecture.
Migrate your app or build a brand-new one
Whether you're migrating a preexistent app or are looking to build a new one from the ground up, we can help. If you have a preexistent app, we can migrate it to AWS for you no matter what type of infrastructure your app is currently in. If you prefer to build an entirely new app, our team will work with you to build a system in AWS that is both efficient and scalable.
Audit your current AWS infrastructure
If you have a current AWS infrastructure and are looking to improve performance and security, our team of experts can analyze it and provide you with a list of recommendations on how to improve security and optimize costs.
Take advantage of everything AWS has to offer
AWS has everything you need to build a reliable infrastructure that will last, and we can help with this process. With our expertise and AWS's full toolbox, you'll have everything you need to maximize your business's potential.
